Maritime Safety

This department is responsible for defining policies regarding maritime safety, endorsement of technical certificates relating to international conventions of vessels flying the flag of Honduras; preparation of technical reports and monitoring activity in Honduras merchant fleet sailing in the world. This comprised of the following sections:
  • Inspectorate of Port State Control
  • Inspection and certification of vessels

La Sección de Certificación de buques es una función que corresponde ser realizada por el Departamento de Seguridad Marítima, en lo que corresponde a emisión y refrendo de certificados técnicos.

All applications submitted to the Document Receptor Section and Costumer Service of the GDMM must necessarily be made in writing by an Attorney in Law, which fully proves the mandate under which it operates.
