With the purpose of knowing the state of the marine water in zones of maritime and port use at a national level, the Department of Protection of the Marine Environment has been developing, for a year, monitoring activities of physical chemical parameters at sampling points in Omoa, Puerto Cortés, La Ceiba, Tela, Roatán, José Santos Guardiola and San Lorenzo, in order to record the behavior of these variables in response to the uses and services provided by these bodies of water and thus manage their use in a sustainable manner
